Is replacing the bearings on the VE straight forward like unbolting the hub assembly and bolting in a new one or do we need to remove and press in new bearings.

Bought a Foxwell NT204 scanner from Repco $153.00 and already its saved me a bucket of money. Scanner brings up several codes and none are an easy fix so I'm going to look for a VE or latter with no warnings on the dash.

Been doing a little research on the check engine light and looks like I need to purchase a obd2 scanner to see what the codes are before handing over any money. Would anyone know where the scanners can be purchased, we only have a Repco, Supercheap and a Bursons, how about an electronics store...

Been looking at a one owner (older couple) 190,000k 2011 v6 and it's like new except that the check engine light is on. Anyone had this before and might know what might need need repairing to correct the problem for the safety certificate.

Just recently I've noticed the power steering is tighter than usual. 4,000 ks ago the system was flushed and new fluid used. Fluid is at the correct level and theirs no fluid leaks. Wondering what most likely would be the cause.

Forget Ebay, head on done to you local Repco store and get a pair of these NTK Oxygen Sensors. We've had these fitted for years now and we can't fault them and the beauty of buying from Repco is the pricing and the warranty.

Noisy lifters are very common with a high klm V6's a not no real concern. Thanks to someones recommendation in here we started using the Nulon high klms 20/50 oil and the Nulon noisy lifter additive and now at start up the noise lasts 3 second and then returns to its lovely operating musical.

A member in here recommended the high klm Nulon 20/50 and I think no better oil.

Leaks can be a bugger to locate where they start, best practice is too degrease the entire engine and underside of the front end and then do some investigating.

Wondering if anyone has had any luck purchasing a pair of aftermarket battery terminal connectors. Sadly our Holden dealership closed and I don't want to go through ebay. I also want to reuse the parts that connect to the connector as per the second picture. Update - 21.09.19 the new battery...

Forget ebay, support your local power steering business and get them to recondition your rack.

The last battery was the Century 640cca battery that died at 40 months and can't go to Holden. Our Holden dealership closed after 60 years in business. Thinking I'll go with the SCA 480cca one and make sure the air conditioners off before starting the car. Thanks for the help guys much appreciated.

Need a new battery and only need it for 12 months so wondering does anyone have a good news story regarding the SCA battery that Supercheap sell. Can get a 480CCA cranking power one with an 18 month warranty for $127 or should I go the full hog and buy the Century 640CCA with a 36 month warranty...

Its just a question of money, you'll need to have the VX seat frame changed and engineered to accept the VE seats. Maybe easiest to have the VE seat frame altered to fit into the VX, 1/2 VX 1/2 VE frame..

Yesterday we ordered one front and rear rim in the standard 4.25 front and 3.70 rear spacing. If they don't do they job then no problem cause we'll have a nice pair of garden hose reels.

We use a standard cat and a larger pipe from the cat back with one exhaust just before the differential and that's all folks and she sounds plenty mean enough.

Is that all, oh well keep it on then hey.
