Ok hooked it as per wiring diagram nothing else is connected to the BCM. How do I test the output from the BCM for the solonoid. Multimeter across solenoid pins is 8.4ohms

crises averted turned back and forth whilst car is off started it again and it has sucked it in must of had a big air lock....so far so good next step is to wire up the bcm for its one job lol

Ok everything is hooked bar solenoid.filled with fluid accidently to the top, fluid doesn't seem to go down when car is running. Tried lock to lock no change

nah its a bitza this type of car....VN with a VS Stato dash mixture of vn dash wiring and vs wiring but no BCM or plugs...using a VR stato BCM only has 1 wire that goes to the solenoid and the other end to 12 volts ignition

ok might be on the right track... Using a High Series BCM 12 volt to pins to C1 and C9 Ground to A18 and test lead to pin B16 (Power steering Solenoid Output) Result is 10 Volts at b16...next test will be with speedo connected I can see this working....

Strut Tower crack is a common thing on VT - VZ. If I recall its the seam sealer failing due to the car being too low... On my old vu ute we re seam sealed it and fitted a strut brace and changed from ultra low back to Low kings...

Yeah it was built for a carby fed VL found out from the old owner I have modded it so it running a complete VT MRA fuel pump assembly as inside it had baffles but no swirl pot like the old vn tank and it has 2 little outlets on each side for venting apparently

I measured my VT brake shoe to VN brake shoe and its 20mm like yours really wierd....I tried to adjust it just then and its either stuck on or dusk rotor drags and when you move it back and forward it clunks
