    Ecotec Vs Alloytec SIDI

Nah all good mate open to many options, more then just the two I have listed. I am only 19 but I might be able to stretch to get a nice V8, how do the LS1s compare the the VE 6.0s?

    Ecotec Vs Alloytec SIDI

I suppose if I wanted something that is by definition "quick" I'd get a V8 haha. Mainly my mates Ute is very comfortable and a lot nicer inside then my old VZ. What ever I get will be manual also. Funny how you say that, I had to replace an engine in my VZ and before I sold it, it kept popping...

    Ecotec Vs Alloytec SIDI

I am looking at really getting into cars. I am still learning but will be doing a lot of the work myself, it sounds like the older engine would be a better bet. Then again if I looked after the SIDI I wouldn't have any problems?

    Ecotec Vs Alloytec SIDI

Hi there fellas, I am in the market for a new rig and am looking for a 6. I am wondering what your thoughts and opinions are on these engines and what I should get. My mate has an SV6 SIDI Ute and it has a nice amount of power. I have heard people have had problems with the earlier Alloytecs...

    [LS1] Modified Daily Driver

Cheers fellas for the replies. Yeah its probably going to be a late 90s V8 if I am able to find a nice one. I suppose if I was to cheap out and get a V6 (to be able to afford a dirtbike) most of the same mods would be applicable? Although it probably wouldn't be modifying a V6 that much I am...

    [LS1] Modified Daily Driver

Hey fellas, Getting my full license soon and am in the market for an older SS. I am interested in the best bang for your buck mods that won't ruin fuel economy and reliability, maybe even improve it? Also I know Commys don't have the best handling and where I live there is some nice twistys so...

VY (or VT etc, anything with the 3.8) or VZ V6 Track Car?

Thanks for the replies fellas. Makes sense not to race a daily but I wouldn't be full on racing it, it would pretty much just be some track days to see what a mostly stock car is capable of and maybe some events like Hill Climbs and such. In the Hyundai how ever it is proper racing as far as...

VY (or VT etc, anything with the 3.8) or VZ V6 Track Car?

Hey fellas, So basically I have enquired about entry level Motorsports and I've gotten some replies, one series is racing Hyundai Excels and the other is based on a point system you can pretty much drive anything you want. So acquiring an Excel will be easy enough, but the thing is the...

[Alloytec] SV6 Modification Help (200+ Rear Wheel KW)

So an Underdrive Pulley basically frees up a little bit of power, would you know if it is noticeable? Makes sense to upgrade handling and brakes first if I was planning on really big power :)

[Alloytec] SV6 Modification Help (200+ Rear Wheel KW)

Cheers for the replies fellas. And in reply to Capsule I mean, for what seems to be minimal gain it seems expensive. If you understand what I mean hah? Does anyone know how the Alloytec Engine goes with forced induction? (Price?, KW gains?, Reliability?)

[Alloytec] SV6 Modification Help (200+ Rear Wheel KW)

Hey everyone, So I am looking at selling my VZ SV6 Ute, and with that, and the money I have saved up I'll have a fair bit in the bank. So I am looking at getting a SV6 sedan either VZ or early VE and I have found a bunch of modifications that I need some more information about and whether or...
