Thanks mate, I have had it fixed at a different service department. The original dealer had dislodged an external tube when changing the seal and its now reconnected.

HCC reckon the data Base is right but admit that the foam seal was still used however they claim it was installed properly after mid September (I have my doubts if this is true)

Customer care told me from mid September builds they fitted the foam seals correctly so mine wasn't on the list either (if this is correct then why are they using rubber seal now). I had to say it was leaking to get them to justify replacing it with the rubber seal.

As expected a different service department found that a drain hose had come adrift when the HVAC seal was installed and they reconnected it and it is now draining to the ground adjacent to the transmission. Thanks for your input.

G'Day Anthony the attached photo shows the drips off the heat shield, i think this could be coming from a detached drain under the engine bay that you are referring to.

Hi Skylarking, I hope i posted the photo OK where you can see one of the places it is the dripping water (also the other side onto exhaust at times). Yes to Anthony it is good that it's landing on the ground but i don't think this is the designed route for it.

Yes but sitting water is not the best anywhere. If that is normal then OK but it' best to be sure.

Yes I agree but it' not going straight out like the sunroof, its pooling between the exhaust heat shield and the outside floor pan

I know how you feel, as well as my drain issue ever since they did my rockers my car has idled a bit rough, been back twice and they reckon it's normal. Getting close to telling them to shove the warranty and looking for a Sydney mechanic that knows what he is doing

Thanks skylarking I know where it is inside the car but I can't see where under the car. Where it's running out now it's dripping on to the exhaust and sizzling, this can't be where it is supposed to run out. I think the hose may have been dislodged from its correct position but I don't know...

Does anyone know where the HVAC drain tube releases the water under the car. Since they changed my seal water is coming out from between the underbody and on top of the foil heat shield above the exhaust pipe front left?

Thanks I gave the brakes a good hit at 80 klms a couple of times and they are now spinning free with minimal contact.

When I jacked the front of my Director and spun the front wheels I could hear the disc pads rubbing on the disc, is this normal

Took your advice and jacked it up. No bearing noise only slight rubbing of brake pad noise. Must just be the tyres. Thanks

Just on another issue, I have never had high performance 20 inch RE050A tyres before. Do they sound a bit like a bearing noise or should I get that looked too.

If you look at the previous link from sequal 3rd feb, their instructions to dealers look pretty simple to me. You just need a tool to get 2 screws out, rubber grease and a seal.

My VIN was excluded from the bulletin but I wouldn't lie down until I got seal replaced. I suggest anyone else in the same position pursue a seal replacement. Why pay big dollars only to ask your missus to wear wellington boots.

What customer care are saying is that from mid September the foam seals installation was changed to prevent leaking. If this is true then why are they now using rubber to replace and not the foam correctly. (we know why) That being the case then any cars after that will not show up as open and...

The trick is to say it was leaking and they're covered to fix it and charge Holden.

Customer care have now told me factory changed the seal in production from mid September. Service department is going to inspect my a/c drain thursday week to see if this is true. I'll let everyone know after inspection

Had 4 phone conversations today.customer care advised me that some service departments just change the seal and others will only change after leaking. I blew up and said why should I wait until my carpet is wrecked. Going higher up the food chain with this issue.

Customer care can tell you if you were ever on the list and if the service department actually did the work.They could be talking sh*t, I don't know who to believe anymore

In regards to the HVAC A/C drain replacement seal. My director is a September build so I contacted Holden customer care and gave them my VIN and was told it wasn't on the list for changing so it might pay to check if your vehicle is effected Phone 1800033349

Thanks All, i have just joined, i bought my first FC in 1972 and had Holdens all my life and after beating cancer I treated myself to my first V8 Director. If it wasn't for you Guys i wouldn't have known about the Rocker recalls and A/C tube leaking as my dealer has told me nothing. Thanks again...
