There is a little plastic square that you pry out with a small flat blade screw driver or something similar, there's is a little slot to stick it in to. Behind that is a phillips head screw if I remember correctly.

Have you checked the starter fuse/relay?

I would try unplugging the speaker plug on the side of the IQ and plugging it back in. Maybe try spraying with some contact cleaner.

Hold the rear demister button for about 3 seconds. If your fan is running you will hear it stop, a few seconds later the fan will start up again you will also hear the flaps moving.

I did mine a while ago. it's a little tricky to get the chrome garnish off, you have to squeeze the yellow clips to release it, then replace the boot loom with the one you have. Just follow the wires, you'll see where they go to.

Mine does the same thing, but not very often. I think it may be the boot loom. I going to clean the connections with some electrical cleaner on the weekend to see if that helps.
