I've owned my VS 5 Litre wagon now for almost 20 years and it does the same.....pretty sure it is always hot and the climate control mixes the air to the temp you selected. Is a concern though because if it ever sprung a leak I'd hate to think of the 3rd degree burns you'd receive !

Your spot on...found a "standard" nut for a steel rim and the length of the taper is to short i.e. the corners of the hex interfere with the stud hole as the nut is tightened up. I ended up finding a 21mm nut that has a longer taper so that it sits snugly in the stud hole with no interference...

Cheers to the replies....the stud holes have steel inserts so guess ordinary nuts should work.

Old rad is 460....new is 470mm....surprisingly 10 mm does make all the diff. Bonnet will close but give it 12 months and the CAI will be looking pretty sad.

Great considering its age.....though it just recently developed an ABS warning light that appears from time to time in the last few weeks. Have posted in the forums for some feed back about it and it has that annoying commonish climate control issue where it blows thru the face vents...

In recent weeks the ABS light has started lighting up after a few k's of driving. Would it be a sensor and if so can they be serviced e.g. cleaned and/or looms reseated and if not are they still available ?
