Around February I bought a VR: Now my ride is: Yea a ClubSportR8 The VR now belongs to one of my sons who turns 18 on Sunday. He's already put a pod filter in, melted the fuse for the sound system - strange he's only running 1200W :yeah: Me I'm happy with my little clubby :yeah:

Know the problem. I've also lost reverse. I need a new transmission. If anyone would to know where NOT to buy a car please let me know. I'll be happy to supply details .... 3 months replaced brakes, tyres (needed 18" mags anyway) and now transmission

Just read the owners handbook. Must have been a rough night, that I don't remember turning the ignition on before I noticed the lights were on:b:

I can understand that it's standard that they switch off, and even if they turned back on when the door is reopened, but when I got up (without touching the car) they were on. Is it sort of a timer delay in reverse? Or if it is standard, how long do the lights stay off before they come on again...

When the headlights are on and I open the driver's side door the headlights switch off. Thought this was pretty good till I went out the next morning and the headlights were on (still started though). Anyone seen this before?

Here's my VR S1. Haven't had it long, but long enough to put some decent wheels on it and a 2.5 cat back exhaust. CAI & K&N planned for about 4 weeks.

I was looking at a body kit for my VR a couple of days ago. I rang a place up and the quote came to about $2800, fitted & sprayed with a wing. They need my car for a couple of hours to match the paint. After that they paint the parts (about three days) then back for half a day for fitting...

These are a friend's dog & cat - Jewels & Bubbles. The cat with the collar is Bella. I'm hoping to get Jewels back full time one day. BTW it's a morning after pic. Had a **few** people around one evening until the sun came up the next day.

Thanks. All up it cost me $2065 but that was front rotors & pads &fitting, mags, tyres, valves (yeh they charged me $1 for each) and balancing. From memory the brake repairs cost about 365 - so $1700 including rubber. I was going to get 17" but they didn't have the tyres in stock - so $60 more...

Well, I got a 2.5" exhaust fitted and a cannon. Replaced the front rotors and brakes and put 18" mags on. Extractors and CAI are a little bit down the road :-(

Looking at getting an agreed value insurance on my VR Exec. Anyone know of a broker that lets you up the value every few months or so? My car is a work in progress, so I'll be spending about a grand a month, and would like the insurance to reflect that. Thx

Spent a couple of bucks on my VR yesterday. Got a 2.5" exhaust, front brakes & rotors. Front tyres were buggered or nearly so, so I put 18" mags on. I then topped up (42l) with PULP. I noticed that I wasn't changing gear until 60Kph. Tacho was about 3200. Would either the wheels or the fuel...

Well I know what RICE is now. But sorry to say the exhaust is just the start. I'm planning on spending a lot of $$$s over the next year or so, and it will be performance. The reason it's still stock is that I only just bought it a week or so ago. I had to have a CD player, and the exhaust is on...

Still stock at the moment except for Sony CD & 4x 6" speakers and wheel covers from my sons. Hopefully on the weekend I'll be getting extractors, 2.5" exhaust and a cannon :yeah:

Thanks for that, but they don't even reply to email! I got a Sony 52W header & 2 sets of Sony 6" speakers from them a few weeks ago and it cost $475, with labour taking up about half the total price. I'm fairly local to the store, so I might drop in again on the weekend and see what they recommend

Thinking about spending $2500-$3000 including installation/wiring in Brisbane for my VR. Any suggestions for header unit/amps/speakers/installers? Thx
