Fuse F12 was still good. Are there some wires I can test to see if the fault is in the trans or the ECU?

Is it common for the ECU to not send the signal to the solenoid or is it more likely a dodgy connection somewhere? What path does the wiring take to the transmission and where are the best places to check? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if I'm being an idiot but I got as far as step 4 and couldn't manage to remove my bearing dust cover. I was attacking it with a flat head and pulling it with grips but it just wouldn't budge. Any easy way to do this?

I've found the new Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin's to be sticky as in both the wet and dry. At over a thousand bucks to kit the car out in 225/50/16 size though you'd be hoping they would be. They're a very soft compound so wont last as long when pushed hard.

It depends what you're trying to achieve with your handling, whether you want to go all out or make it a bit better while keeping a comfortable ride. I wouldn't like to drive my VN every day. Maybe some low springs and some not too extreme sway bars.

Jack up the front left wheel, grip it by the top and bottom, and see if there is any play by trying to jiggle it back and forth. If there is play get a new bearing.

Some thicker sway bars will also do wonders for reducing your body roll.

Hey, I'm getting the oxygen sensor fault code come up on my new VR V6 but I'm pretty sure there's a small leak somewhere in the left hand header also. Can the leak cause this (the check engine light comes on while driving)? Or is it unrelated and the O2 sensor (or wiring) is stuffed? Cheers

The VN will always be number one. ;) I'll be getting it out quite a bit because this is the 1st auto I've owned and sometimes feel the need to change my own gears. Those rims didn't come with the car so at the moment it's riding around on the 16's from the poor old VN.

Had my VN broken into a while ago. They took the only thing in it, the fire extinguisher.. They also left muddy footprints all over the seats and syphoned the fuel.
