I now own a WH Caprice with gen 3 on gas will be loading up some pics asap it has 18 inch rims and twin stainless steel pipes on the rear with hsv high flow mufflers not too loud but gives a ncie note.

i have this problem too in my wh i think it has to go to holdens to be diagnosed and to get it removed by there computer hope this helps mine is always on and also has a x show up under the over speed at times too.

As far as i know it has to be either blue or black i recently found out that apparently only the VK brockys had the black 5 litre otherwise the Vls had the black motor.

Thanks for that i knew they could get alot in but didnt know they could still get these its always worthwhile knowing what they can and cant get:)

Either way of sanding is ok an orbital sander is the best tthough and try to use one that has a level on there to change the speed so you dont actually burn the paint.

It does sound like fluid is low and in need of a service. I had the shudder with mine in the VH changed uni joints and fixed the problem.

yes like we did they are pretty easy to get off just have to be careful

I usually use a scraper or a small screwdriver to slowly pry them up otherwise they tend to bend.

Im also running a blue VH motor instead of the black motor thats what was in her and i figure it can stay in there untill i get something better. I wasnt sure if there was any difference in the carbs as they are both varajet carbs on the motors

Thanks for that Slim I tried everything you said but still no luck. Ive turned the gas off now and bypassed everything so its running back on fuel but wont stay running when the air cleaner cover is on i wish it was a 8 I never have any problems with them but this thing i am so sick of it.

try checking you connection on your motor for the temp guage and giving it a clean otherwise replace the connection shouldnt be too costly and on your fuel sender if you give that a clean with crc or something like it it should hopefully fix it otherwise again a new sender would be an option.

as far as i know armourguard is safe to use still id say to use it in a space where it isnt seen very much at first just to make sure but shouldnt be a problem.

I find uht dyes are good and alot of other vinyl paints just make sure it is cleaned off well and truly and that you dont just use normal paint as it will crack and peel within months.

I either use ulp plus from united over here anything higher seems to mkae my car ping and again anything lower makes her ping. Get about 60 kms more to a tank than on normal unleaded.
