Sounds identical to my LS1 which needed lifters. Rattle on start up, same tick that went away after a few mins. The tick used to come back when I was on the free way at a constant speed/revs for an extended time. Piston slap is a very different sound in my experience.

I put the factory muffles off my VE SS onto my V6 VE Calais because I like the quad tip look. The sound was just awful. Took them off straight away. I imagine a 3 inch system would make that same awful sound x 10.

The sale papers will have the KMS that were on the car when the dealer took ownership. So if there's 300 more on it, it means someone there was driving it and maybe also some test drives. It's one of those 'if the customer doesn't mention it....... we won't either' type things. 300 less kms...

Yeah, go back to Holden and argue that they replace the battery under warranty. And if they say no, argue the ACCC rights etc. Still say no then tell them you'll pay for it and if it doesn't solve the problem they give you your money back.
