Better to sell the VZ to buy a VE .... :rofl2: The VE units are "security locked" via the BCM. So it will need data from VE BCM to work. Also the heater controls are all one piece with the fascia. I don't think you can just cut it without damaging the pcb board. Good luck if you can make it work.

Ant connection Hi there, The one on the back window from memory is the diversity antenna which will only work for FM, which is the top connection on the old head unit. The one on the bottom of the original head unit is the one you should be using for AM/FM. I hope this is correct...

Hi there, Try playing an audio cd rather than a DVD disc. If you see that the audio disc works then issue will be laser. Generally it takes a lot more to read a dvd than a cd. If still still doesn't read the cd disc well of to Holden you go.... :)

problem with rse. Hi there, Problem with unit saying "security error" is because the screen with the plastic on it has 100% been replaced. The person that fitted into the car forgot to take out the plastic protector. Obviously when they installed it they never programmed the new screen...

If it is still not working check the fuse again as it might of blown again. If it has blown again you have an internal short in the unit.

I think this units have a function called "speed dependent volume". This means when you accelerate you get more noise, which turns up the music so you can listen to it. You might need to go to a Holden dealer so they can turn it off if it isn't in your menu settings.

Hi there, Check the fuse at the back of the unit. Also check the fuse in the fuse compartment box.

replacing the VE head unit Hi blasto, You must have a single cd player in your car. The six stacker units play MP3 cds. All you have to do is order a head unit and a fascia from Holden or Blaupunkt. I hope that helps.

Hi there Troy, By pressing the volume button in a few times it will go from "BASS , TREBLE, BALANCE" if your lucky then the "fader". If this is not on your stereo all you have to do is go to your Holden Dealer and get them to enable it. It can be done because it has been done for me.

Hi there, On the VN they are two rods that act as a spring load so the boot can go up like what nikkojoe is talking about. I think the VS has got struts but the vn and vp are the same. It looks like know one has done them.... :confused: oh well I'll try again one day...
