i know its a thread bump but i bought mine of ebay from cube and mine was annoying to fit due to having to modify things for shifting to be precise

all sorted now, holy s#$t its different to shift now, feels like a race car gearbox, tight solid very close gears, it has reduced the throw by 75% barely feels like it goes into gear

got reverse lights now, problem was, the reverse light switch wasn't screwed in tight, went to remove it and found to be loose

fixed the problem, the shifter was hitting the base plate before it found the reverse gate, just moved the plates out for enough clearance, but now i don't have reverse lights ffs, any ideas?

yea might have to, has anyone fitted a billet shifter to a 5 spd getrag and had any problems afterwards?

Hey bud, sorry to bug you as the post im refering to that you posted is 8 years old but did you end up fitting a solid replacement for the rubber on the shift plate, im thinking of replacing the rubber with a block of aluminium

personally if a bolt is too tight to remove with a ring spanner or multi hex socket with a ratchet, i will use a 1/2'' single hex socket with a breaker bar, always works for me, sounds like someone has loctite it as you normally can't overtighten alloy thread without stripping

you could say that but i dont think so I have my regular shell servo down the road and ive used both their 91 and 98 and there is a huge difference 98 is a **** load better fuel never going 91 again

because it is originally from the states as a transversant engine in fwd cars so technically is designed correctly

check for accessories power on ignition switch, there a four wires, 1 is constant power 1 is earth 1 is for acc 1 is for starter motor, check relays and power to them
