hey guys, on my VS Series II Berlina I am getting an error code of 46 which is NO REFERENCE PULSES WHILE CRANKING, what does this mean and what do I do to fix it?? Engine wont start at all obviously.

Thanks immortality. I currently have a trident radiator cap on it. Got it from Supercheap. Might go to Autopro see what brand they have there. Where can you get the CPC cap from?

Also not that it probably means much but the engine is either a vn or vp. As there is no cam angle sensor installed

The radiator cap isn't old. Changed it about 6 months ago... did change the coolant gauge sender. Now I can actually see what temperature it has the problems at

I was wondering what the solution was to this? My friends car has the exact same problem.

ahh... I have been reading might buy a compression meter tomorrow and see how that goes

nah I havent done a compression test. There is no coolant in the oil at all... I am stuffed for ideas

Hey guys. When my girlfriend went home her dodgy mechanic tried to patch up his stuff up when he changed the engine mounts on the car. (See attached pictures). Just wondering if someone knows the part number for the O RING? Or better of buying a new speed sensor? Thanks

I was wondering if someone has had the same issue as I'm having. I bought a steering wheel remover kit but the plate on the steering wheel has no threads on it. Has anyone had the same problem? If so how did you get it off?

Not sure if this has been on the forum already or not. But on my VR commodore I use the fuel release it doesn't pop the fuel flap open. It opens it but doesn't spring back the lever . Just wondering what people have done to fix this?

I got 249rwkw. Just with changed extractors, exhaust, ss cold air induction and a dyno tune.

I was going to say what happened in my vs. My negative terminal was corroded. Cleaned it up and no problems since. But glad your problem was fixed

Thanks Matt. I already have a switch to kill the interior lights. (Was installed before my gf got the car) was going to wire it to that. As well as the switch of the accessories. Will I still need a three way switch?

Just wondering if anyone has installed led footwell lights on a vr commodore. I want to have it wired to the accessories but have it on a switch to turn on and off. Just wondering did people wire to the cigarette lighter?

All gd. Fixed it. Didn't have a vacuum hose on the throttle body connected. Hence why the idling was stuffed.

It's a VR commodore. Has a pod filter on it and doesn't seem to suck air through the pod filter. So maybe it has a leak in the manifold itself. I will use gasket sealant see how I go

I just did this yesterday and the car would idle then the engine light comes up and revs to 2-3 k then goes back to idle (engine light goes off) then engine light comes up idles 2-3 k then goes back to idle than stalls. Any idea why?

Thanks Wozza. I have the 135PSi cap on the radiator. It keeps spitting out coolant most of the time. Might open the radiator cap see if the neck is clean. But on my VS I changed my inlet manifold gasket and it fixed it up. But I wasnt getting oil in the coolant or vise-versa... Might look at...

Cheers for the responses. The temperature gauge stays on a quarter. I have bleed the system heaps and no air is coming out. Was doing the same thing before i changed the hoses over. Could it be a cracked head or the inlet manifold gasket?

Hey guys. I got an issue with my VR commie. I have changed the bottom hose and radiator cap. But I still have the problem that the coolant boils in the overflow reservoir. Any ideas as yo what it could be? It is the Buick engine :bang:

Got it off with a use of an extension bar. From one of my mechanic friends. And yes it was Anti clockwise to get the pulley off. Thanks guys for your help :beer chug:
