are you using an actual GM Tech2? or a generic OBDII scanner? Tech2 is meant to work with all GM models whereas the OBDII won't work on a V6 that is pre VZ

the only way to have the digital speedo permanently enabled is by having "police mode" turned on via a tech2. There is no other way to permanently enable it

the "8 speaker" system you're referring to is in a Calais, and is an extra tweeter on the rear door speaker itself. Calais also have a pair of 8" subs on the rear shelf, Berlinas don't have the sub setup nor the extra tweeter on the rear speaker (so a "6 speaker" system)

It's attatched via a small metal cable with a hook on the end and if the hook has broken it will put a heavy bias to the rear brakes so if you're trying to skid it will be locking the rear brakes on...

they wont work without mods...WH Series 2 use the same stalks as VX Series 2, WH Series 1 and VX Series 1 use the earlier style stalk. If you can't buy one new then wreckers would be your best bet otherwise you'll have to modify your wiring to run the Series 2 stalks

tub liner comes out by undoing the screws near the tailgate, then grabbing the centre part of the floor and bending it up to release the liner from the sides of the tray and slide backwards...good opportunity to clean under the liner while its out :)
