It sounds to me like the relay might be busted. If you know anyone else with a VT/VX, swap your headlight relay with theirs and see if it fixes the problem.

I found it really hard to reach, i taped one end of the pin to a screw driver which made it heaps easier to get in. Expect to get angry as well, it's really fiddly. I would definitely buy the new part from Holden, I think i spent $30 on the chrome one and the stock one was $20 or there abouts...

The VX Calais ones have those lumpy things on the sides, I reckon they look **** as, thats why if you can get a VT bar in your colour cheap you may as well get that, the only thing you miss is the smaller line around the back as its got the thicker one for the chrome strips.

Yep I thought the same thing, the auto head light sensor is actually located in the same spot, and looks exactly the same, but the one in your car won't have the sensor, it will only be your keyless entry sensor.
