Never had a problem with phone reception in mine...the bluetooth is as close to garbage as you could find if that is what you are using. . . . But phone reception is fine.

Hey mate, There is no more to it than that. The unit should automatically switch to AUX input as soon as you insert the 3.5 plug into the AUX jack and the tunes should play. If that isnt happening, obviously try hittting the AUX button to select it.
