Mate sorry I cant help but to let you know i had the sameproblem on another car of mine. Had it in Holden service so manytimes it was not funny. They could not find the problem and i ended up wholesaleing the car as i did not want to pass this problem onto anyone.

Hey buddy its well worth doing. at 100ks it revers just over 2500. A manual with 19s wheels is fine for 3.89. If you do alot of highway miles i would suggest 3.7. But if you want low down torque go 3.89

I have spoken to alot of diff mechanics. They have all told me I will be happier with 3.9 as I have a manual and 18inch wheels. I suppose the fuel will go up a little but no where near a V8. It will launch from 0-100km quick and thats what it is about. bugger top end unless you want to loose...
