    Failure of fuel injector, LS3

I guess some more background. When I called the dealer I explicitly mentioned the amount of cases I found experiencing the issue. Along with the drive.com.au article. When I asked about if Holden would cover it, I was told they would need to examine the vehicle first to determine and then lodge...

    Failure of fuel injector, LS3

Has any had this enacted recently? Just had this exact issue and was told by Holden dealer they would no longer honour goodwill as car is too old. Nov 2014 VF R8. 50,000 kms. Quoted $1600 including labour to replace all 8 Injectors.. and there is no guarantee the issue will go away. The...

Kayhan Android/Apple Carplay +Nav+ digital radio.

https://formulatech.com.au/walkinshaw_carplay_android_auto/ $1200. I would expect that such a premium over the "standard" product, would result in superior support, and better integration into the standard system. Use of OE USB and mic etc. I would also expect a better installation rather...

    vz timing chain

Alrighty, we changed the chains, tensioners, guides and idler sprockets. Everything lined up according to the TechTalk article. Idling smooth no rattles or noises. However, now I'm getting the P0009 error code and doesn't have much grunt as before in 3rd gear, from what i've read it's 99%...

    vz timing chain

Yeah I've done a bit of research, but I just can't get my head around if you take chains off. And nothing moves.. Why chains don't go straight back on? I can't figure out why crank is rotated for stage two, that would leave the chains misaligned on the rh bank.

    vz timing chain

Thanks for that wozza. I note that is slightly different with the camshaft chains different to the vz. But anyway.. the most notable thing I found was to rotate to stage 2 before removing the rh side chain. Then rotating to stage 1 and completing the removal and installation of the lh side...

    vz timing chain

Can someone explain to me, why this is done in two stages. I need to do this, but after reading the guide, why wouldn't you remove everything and then fit the new chains, wouldnt everything line up correctly on the first stage? I don't quite understand how you take chains off, fit one side then...

Holden Calais Side Mirror Not working with the reverse gear.

Put the car into reverse, then hit the "M" button on the side of the sea. You want to hear two beeps. That means the dipping is active, one beep deactivates it. When you hear the two beeps, if the mirror doesnt move. Adjust the mirror the way you want, then put the car into park. Then save the...

Side Skirt Rubbers - are they interchangable

My dad and I are in the exact same boat, you can get new ones from Holden, and finding ones without tears in them at the wreckers is proving to be difficult, our plan is to buy some new left hand ones, the ends on them are different which you can just swap. and the holes for the side skirt, may...

VZ ( 05 ) Factory Sat Nav ( What to replace it with ? )

I know of two VDO Daytons that were released with the VY/VZs. The MS5400 and MS5100. The former is the better unit. The best unit is the MS 5200 which came out on VEs and FG Falcons, these units use SD cards compared to discs.

    Strange Speedo issue

Ok so ive pulled it apart and checked the clearance of the needles. They seem fine. I've recalibrated the needles as per your guide in your cluster thread. So ill see how it goes. However id like to note that when I was turning the dials to see if there was any rubbing noises. The speed needle...

    Brake Pads.... which ones?

I may be making the switch to Bendix Ultimates or CTs this time round as the QFM HPXs were a tad on the noisy side for me. Has anyone had a solid go at both recently? From what I've read the Bendix have come a fair way in terms of wear and dust and just want to know if this is at all true.

    Strange Speedo issue

I wasn't very clear, I'm talking about distance to destination. Which is set to 500 when ever i reset the trip meter, this doesn't fluctuate depending on fuel like distance left does. The distance to destination decreases in increments of 10, so being 120 kms out.. Is a bit suss to me.

    Strange Speedo issue

Certainly possible, I wasn't overly impressed with the workmanship of the conversion so i'll take a look at that. However ive had another look. It also seems the Kms traveled don't line up with Distance left. eg Distance left is set to 500 on default. And i traveled over 410 kms and the...

    Strange Speedo issue

Hi All, i have a strange Speedo issue where the digital speedo is not reading the same speed as the needle. Yes i know they are not 100% accurate, every so often as im driving along the difference can be upto 7km/h and other times <1km/h for the same speed. But as you can see with the...

JC Political Thread - For All Things Political Part 2

This statement couldn't be any further from the truth. Just about everything a teacher would use in schools is supplied by the school.. Their 'IT' equipment they have to pay for, which there is a debate where the gov should pay for it. I am the technician supplied by the Victorian DEECD, the...

    HSV Confirms Release of "Gen-F"

This is true, however people would still buy an SS and do similar mods and could end up costing just as much.. But by purchasing an HSV you get an engineered product that is guaranteed. Your statement stands true For Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Except you pay more for a "premium" brand.
