HI OldDog, Has anybody measured the clearances between the lifters and the bore. May be a slim chance but if throwing lifters in did not fix the problem are they sure that the lifter is sitting correctly??

Sorry not correct, Subaru use Semi synthetic and the first service is at 12500 kms. previously at 5000kms. will not use full synthetic unless you ask and pay for more.

Coolant will not change the running temp it will stop it from freezing will help with preventing corosion and will raise the boiling point of water . Stronger the mix the higher the boiling point and the lower the freezing point. Warning too much coolant and you will reduce the cooling systems...

Pull the fuel filter out ons check if there is water in it by draining into a clear plastic bottle, water will sink. Then replace the filter as it sounds like you have a slight fuel blockage.

Check to see if the relay and fuse have been fitted.

Try removing the injectors and checking if they are indvidually blocked.There is a small basket filter in the back of each injector and it is common to find them full af sediment. Also check you're fuel filter.

Have you checked that the belt is still on? Have had 2 come off in a week then the harmonic balancer came off.

Any decent parts shop. Auto change every 40000kms P/steer about the same.
