meh....drive a HSV GTS and it won't matter....the SS and SV6 will both feel....slow. hahaha everytime I get to drive one, it makes the SS and SV6's all feel the same afterwards.

I've experienced about a third of those fixes, so am looking forward to getting mine updated :)

I dont know how many Commodores I've been in with leather (a lot!), but those pictures aren't uncommon. Whether it just means holden leather is REALLY **** or it's normal, I can't say, but I've seen it happen a lot (and on new cars with less <3000kms on them).

Just got my series 2 sv6 (auto) serviced. 15, 000km logbook service. Got quoted $200. Ended up costing $140 cos i brought my own oil and filter. This was at ultratune. Very happy with that.

I usually use caltex 98 or shells 98 due to the fact I can usually get them cheap. Bp is never cheap for me. I avoid the United brand now though. A few separate tanks of that have down a drastic decrease in mileage for me.

hee hee, I was on the hwy still when my very low fuel warning came up one night. I drove another 6 or 7kms as I wanted cheap fuel. Ended up filling up with 72.7L. A bit too close for my liking!

Anyone having issues with ipod connectivity and their IQ system? I leave my ipod classic connected constantly, and it seems every couple weeks my IQ system decides to say "ipod connecting" or whatever it says without actually connecting. I've tried disconnecting the ipod and reconnecting it...

I fill mine up with Ron98 stuff purely cos I dont have to fill up as often as with regular unleaded. I get 600kms out of it on average here in perth. More if I do a lot more fwy driving.

Im new to owning commodores, this is my first one. I would never have considered buying a series 1 purely because I found the interior boring (air vents, aircon controls, stereo). The series 2 IQ system (plus round airvents in my sv6) did it for me to warrant the purchase :P

Is there anything in or around the tweeter assembly that could come loose and start rattling/buzzing? I've noticed on bassy notes, my front right tweeter buzzes sometimes. I can't tell if it's the tweeter cone distorting or if it's a loose wire vibrating or something....I wouldn't have thought...

Auto.... What's the point of a manual in a big car when you can pretty much lose your license in 2nd gear? I've driven plenty of manual commodores and HSV's (not mine). I find it kinda pointless. All the cars I've owned though have been small where manual makes more sense.

Just wondering if you can get the Series II IQ system to play DVD movies, or even just accept a DVD full of MP3's?

It's cheaper to get it when the car is built at the factory. But I wouldn't bother, as its crap and expensive to update. Get a garmin ;)
