Agree with burnout124 a 150000km motor doesnt need a rebuild,just needs mods all the main components would still be in great working order.

I have heavy duty shocks and springs on the rear of my car as I tow a trailer and they hold the rear end up really good but the front always scrapes on the speed humps so I have to go slower at the front but the rear is all good

Darren_L thats what I thought was a tune up aswell until I pissed off mumboman when he said that the next time someone says that a tune is the same as a service he will lose it,but to me they are the same because what you are saying is a (tune up) to me is also a service.

OP is from NSW so he will be ok and as I said as long as the tyres fit the wheels which 235's are what he should put on them,the tyres need to fit the rims thats the rules.

Well if you had a multimeter it would be easy,I was also thinking it could be that the fuse connection might be corroded.But you need to check both ends of the wire at the switch and at the regulator to see if it is broken or stripped

When you replaced it did you have the sector gears in the correct positioning? But like you said if it takes you alot of times pressing the switch for it to go down then it might be the switch wiring is shorting out

It could be a faulty regulator or the switch assembly

Thats correct gopher,car insurance is for theft,fire and damage to other property,CTP green slips is for injury to people.

Green slips cover all injuries in NSW as well acarmody,thats why you cant register your car without a greenslip

No you dont need to flush it every year depends on the coolant that you are using and how long it lasts until it needs to be changed

If the car is hard to start pour about 2ltrs of water on the CAS and then if it does start its the CAS

Mate had the exact same prob as you,gave it a flush,new radiator,hoses.clamps now it runs great and it doesnt over heat at all,the needle doesnt go over the first line.
