They aparetly off a cobra perfomance exhaust cat back system. They are a Aussie based exhaust manufacturer aparently. They have been made for AFM models so i was hoping they would not drone on a SV6??...wishful thinking maybe?

Just a quick one, anyone with a SIDI SV6 put a set of of Cobra Performance mufflers on??? Any drone. There is a set on ebay at the moment and they are looking tempting! - Now to scheme a plan to buy without my wife finding out...mmmm...tried before and it didn't work...she sneaky!:doh:

Has anyone tried mufflers suited / made for afm models on a sv6 sidi? Does it help or even eliminate the drone issue?

Is it worth taking out the "mid section" i think its call where it's 2inch and replacing with 2.25? Will this quieten it down?

Hi all, toying with the idea of a CAI for the SV6, does it improve fuel consumption on the series 2 SIDI or is it bit of a marketing hype?? And i suppose any CAI system, ie. Airhammer, growler ect voids new car warranty also?

thanks for everyone's input, Im only shy of 3/4 of this tank finishing so i will wait and see how i go next fill up. This current tank saw me replace the straight through pipes with originals so maybe it was adjusting itself early in the tank (ie first 1/4) hence the higher consumption avg now...

Does anyone know what the freq Hz is for a SIDI 3.6 series 2?? Once you get that there is a formula to use and u can get the pipe diameter / length ect needed to cancel out the drone!

yeah it a 2500km old K&N air filter so all good there. I might wait till i fill up again and see if it has adjusted itself?

Yes it is the SIDI...I should clarify yes since new and before installing the straight through pipes i was getting 10lt avg, with them on slightly better at 9.7ltavg but since putting originals back on bang straight up to 11lt avg for no reason????

Just doing some research and came across the "J Pipe" design which according to all sources and real uses reduces drone to practically 0? Anyone know a good exhaust shop on the gold coast who knows how to do this correctly? As its only pipe with a few bends it shouldnt be expensive!

Unfortunately i dont want to spend more $$$ on my pipes to find out they still drone...do i take the chance??? i think i might just put the original muffs back on (bent and all) and if somebody wants a cheap set of brand new tail pipes and has time to experient with hot dogs on them they can...
