Not sure what section to post this, I thought here as good as any,

So, I fitted my VCM OTR today, and after doing a search for some installation guidance, was unable to find much that was helpful.
And as I have the day off work I thought I would do a quick "how to".

First things first -
1. I am not a mechanic, and don't pretend to be.
2. This is just a run through how I installed it, It may be wrong. (Happy for anyone else to point out mistakes/suggest better idea's).

Step 1 - Disconnect the battery.
Step 2 - Remove radiator shroud.
Step 3 - Remove old air take box, maf and pipe work (you may feel like putting the air box back in after the install, for a more factory look).
Step 4 - At this point I placed the OTR over the plastic on top of the radiator and marked a rough outline.
Step 5 - Unplug the electric fans and move wiring out of the way.
Step 6 - Using a small coping saw, cut and remove the plastic as marked. The bottom of the OTR needs to sit ontop of the radiator itself.

Step 7 - Using a file or chisel etc. remove burs from plastic and clean up cuts.

Step 8 - Fit OTR using supplied rubber boot and clamps, making sure the front lip of the OTR fits in between the radiator and the condenser.

Step 9 - Fit sensor that was removed from the stock intake pipe into the grommet on the OTR.
Step 10 - If you would like to make the install a little neater, cut to radiator shroud to fit around the OTR (take your time doing this, this is the one part I would like to do over, getting a little over excited).

Hopefully if someone reads this, I have worked out how to put my crappy phone photos here.

Please excuse the dirty engine bay.

Cheers,
Tones.

Well done mate.
Here's what my VCM OTR turned out like. If you notice, I put a length of aluminium channel over the top of the A/C condenser and gave it a polish.

What....Is there something wrong with standard tone air horns?

No, no. I like the modification. First thing I noticed when you posted the picture.

Nutcracker,
that looks neat as.
Looks pretty professional. Did you do the install yourself?
I was looking everywhere for a bit of a guide, should have just asked on here.

Sorry fella's, it's just some people don't like 'em.
Glad you like them. I was trying to fill in an empty space and found these on eBay. Couldn't find any decent chrome ones here.

Thanks Tones.
Professional install by Chip Control.
I did the cut out and paint mod for the radiator shroud and did the aluminium channel over the top of the condenser, as well as the grill.
I fitted all the extra chrome, polished aluminium and braid. Scott did the manifold, engine mods and the OTR. I did the rest.
