VE OMEGA UTE
Hi guys. I have a 2009 ve omega Ute.

The other day I was at work and went to sit in my car on my break. While idling my car randomly started idling funny. Engine shaking and then eventually cut out.
Gave it a hard rev and it was sweet

Later that day I was half way driving home and it started losing power and almost cutting out every time I came to a set of lights. Eventually it cut out. Wouldn’t start and I had to get it towed home.

A mate used his scan tool and it showed codes
(P0336) crankshaft position sensor.

(P0100) mass airflow sensor circuit malfunction.

(P2187) fuel trim lean bank 1
(P2189) fuel trim lean bank 2

I did the crank angle sensor and now it’s showing code (P050A) cold start air control system.
Any ideas on what it could be?

Sucks because it’s undriveable and it’s my only mode of transport

Clean all the harness earth points.
Undo them. Clean the mating surfaces with contact cleaner and a scotchbrite. Do them up firm.

Especially engine harness earths.

If all those things are showing that they are reading data outside spec, I’m going to lay money there’s a circuit fault, not a sensor fault.

That could be normal a normal CPS failure set of symptoms.

Have you got a P008 anywhere in that history? Changed your timing chains yet?
