hi all,

I am looking at getting some wheels for my SSV Wagon.

I have some 4pot brembos front and back off a series two that I am going to put on and I really don't want a 35series profile tyre so I was thinking of getting some 19 inch wheels instead of 20s. Either something in the Koya range or Vossen CVT's.

I don't want the stretched tyre look but I would love to fill the guards by having the tyre sit a few mm's within the guard and have it lowered slightly too.

In 20s, I was looking at
-Front 9inch +35 with 255 tyre
-Rear 10inch +40 or so for the rear with 275 tyre

What would my options be in 19s? Anyone running 19s so I can see some pics?

Thank you in advance
Moe

That looks really good. I like the look of a bit of side wall. What tyres and offset are you running?

Cheers

In 20s, I was looking at
-Front 9inch +35 with 255 tyre
-Rear 10inch +40 or so for the rear with 275 tyre

What would my options be in 19s?

1. With F and R Brembo brakes for the wheels to clear you won't have a lot of after market wheel options if buying locally. I would probably stick with something in the Koya range that will clear BB applications and also allow you to customise the wheel offset within limits for a better fit..

2. IF you want a staggered set up you need to match the rolling diameter of the front and rear tyres as closely as possible so the rotation speed differences are negligible.
So in 19 inch tyres you will need-
front 245 40 19 679 mm diameter
Rear 275 35 19 675mm diameter

Or if you want to use a wider 255 front tyre you will need to go wider in the rear for a match..........
Front 255 40 19 687mm diameter
Rear 285 35 19 683mm diameter

3. With a rear 9, 9.5 or 10 inch wheel and 275 wide rear tyre you will need a wheel offset of at least 45 for the tyres to clear the rear guards. Otherwise you will have to roll the lips on the rear guards to prevent the tyres contacting them given sufficient suspension movement (and especially with lowered springs).
