2.5 twin on a V6 is too big, its been stated a thousand times on this forum.

Why didn't you get the correct size the first time?

I have supplied a lot of these systems for the V6 as well as the V8. They go well on both. The alloytec is actually a very high revving engine and needs a fairly high flowing exhaust to make any real difference to performance. So far, you are the only one that has mentioned a noise like this, I have contacted the manufacturer and am waiting for a reply on this issue.

The biggest obstacle to overcome on the alloytec is getting a decent note out of it. I believe Manta is the best sounding sytem on both the VE and the system they do for the VZ.

*EDIT: Also aren't you planning to get extractors, cats and a tune as well down the track? I would wait until that happens because it will change the note of the exhaust. I wouldn't want you to be even more disappointed after doing that with an XForce system.

It's been a few weeks, it should have carboned up by now. And yes, the note did change.

Exhausts only take about 100-200km to build up a carbon deposit enough to change the tone.

2x.5" exhaust is equivalent to about a 3.5" exhaust with the added effect of scavenging. v6 Still sounds gay.
