both sockets or just one? because i touched earth on the rca before and it fixed it bt only one of the buzzes was quieter, was still there, but almost un-noticable

If you do it at the head unit end, you just need to do 1 RCA.

Doing that, you're basically bypassing the fuse and creating a new link. Both RCA sockets share the same fuse.

alright, ill update in about 1 hour or so, as im going to do my whole wiring over again more neatly, might aswell since its all out now

i soldered an earth to the rca at the amp and it stopped most of the buzzing, then i re-earthed my amps, and it stopped, thanks for the help guys

Good to hear. As a general rule with Pioneer head-units dont unplug / plug RCAs when the head-unit is on. Ofcourse always have an earth for the amp/s before turning the head-unit on.
