Okay guys so I know there is a few posts about this but hard to find a answer if someone could direct me or help me out would be muchly appreciated

So my car overheated drastically

I changed my thermostat a prick of a job honestly
Filled it up again and its still overheating I checked the engine oil last night after taking it for a 1 minute drive before it overheated again and it was very low could havung no engine oil also be a problem as to why its over heating.

I did check the engine oil constantly before the thermostat change any help would be great

Is it losing water anywhwere? , could be radiator , or water pump , lack of oil might explain it too .

Suggest that you check in with a Radiator Specialist who should have all the necessary equipment to pressure test the system (for any leaks). Could be a simple matter of blocked/restricted flow in the radiator. How frequently have you been changing the coolant ? To continue driving it could cause terminal damage resulting in a dead engine.

Do these have the 3 bleeding screws like the L67? Just a thought.

Also, did you check thee thermostat in hot water before installation? I have had faulty ones straight off the shelf before..

I know its a pain (Ive done quite a few L67 thermos at the back of the motor) but maybe pull it out and check it in a pot on the stove. Put it in the water and turn up the heat. You should be able to see the stat open when the water gets hot enough.
