2008 holden commodore ve sv6
hey, just bought myself a 2008 SV6 holden commodore and in love, I have been thinking about modding it slightly with not going over the top and haven't got a lot of money to spend, the car owner before was an older lady and drove with care. The car is in perfect condition with a sound system and head unit done
The sound system was done by me last week at a car sound place.
- alpine S2 front and back
- 12 inch kicker set in the boot
- alpine unit (iLX-407A)
- air-pro facia kit
- reverse camera

an old lady added a sound system with a subwoofer?
and only used it to drive to church on sunday mornings?
sorry to sound sceptical
but old ladies do not add subwoofers

I should’ve told you that I added the full sound system this week by a authorised dealer?

How many km?
If previous owner has looked after it then you should look after it too. Don't try and turn it into a boy racer tragedy with a fart cannon exhaust. If the shocks are worn out which is almost guaranteed by now get a new set of quality shocks fitted, service all the fluids. I said ALL of them including power steering, and just drive it.

The kms is 190,000, and thanks for that advice I am looking on putting an xforce exhaust later down the line when I got more diving experienc. On the next service I will get it all looked at and will fix if needed.

Most peoples advice on here is to put a stock SS exhaust on it which apparently sounds good without having the usual “fart cannon” sound of a lot of the aftermarket exhausts.

I can’t personally verify that as I’ve never done it but the one advantage is that it should be cheap as secondhand stock SS exhausts should be easy to obtain from people upgrading the exhaust on their SS.
