Long story short.. (with engine removed)
some plasma cutter work saw a spark catch on the exposed fan assy and she went up..
got it out, but some fire damage grrr, anyway.. lesson learnt.. now to fix it.
I'll be needing a replacement HVAC/fan unit (sits between the dash and firewall (firewall - ironic right!)
And a replacement wiring loom..
+ a couple of incidentals...
Q: Is the HVAC/fan assy the same across the VE range? (if I mention HSV to a wrecker, they get the reaming tool out!)
Even one off a 2010 VE V6 or so.. at wich point.. Does the year matter?.. if it's close?
Same Q for the Wiring harness.. incl the Relay assy in the Left panel..
Thought I'd ask before approaching wreckers next week..
