I have a hq with a vp commodore 304 engine in it and i have just hooked up the factory power steering pump up to it and noticed that the belt i have (11A1105)which only runs from crank to pump pulley just touches the edge of the water pump pulley on its way past it . The water pump pulley which is factory commodore has provision for 2 belts but im only using the inner one in this configuration.
My question is there a setup on some of these cars that use this spare one on the water
pump pulley to go from crank around the water pump pulley to the power steering pulley?
All the ones Ive seen use the way I have done however there is another longer belt (11A1245) listed as a possible part for it.
