Haha, farrk the hoe and roof came up mint as! Gotta be happy with that!
Although once its all done, it'd be harder to get it all dirty again... Have to clean all around the pins just before you grease it up each time,
Hows all the bushes and pins in the bucket, and hoe assembly?
What will you be using the beast for once she's all done?
Yeah im very happy with the paint the new lead free yellow paint doesnt cover as well as the old paint does, takes 6 coats to cover!!!! using a product called rocket in the enamel when painting its touch dry in 15min flat, I have less crap in my paint painting in the open air car port than what a local panel shop got in a tiny panel in my work ute. The top of the roof came up flawless not a single spec of crap in the paint.
As for the hoe bushes they are brand new pins & bushes I have just rebushed & pinned it all in induction hardened 4140.
I plan on builting a house at out farm so I bought the backhoe to build a 400m road, clear boundry lines for fencing, dig footings for the house & shed and anything else I can find to do with it.
I plan on getting it dirty, it will get scratched but I had to fix cracks in the body, & rust before it got too bad, I am doing the machine up to a standard that I wont need to do much to it for a very long time.
after the cabin gets painted hopefully this weekend or monday I have to get the sideshift working and rebuild 2 side shift locking rams then its onto doing the front axel bush & steering.
