Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your advice
I have recently picked up the 95 Vr Calais, it a part time project, and my current everyday car.
The problem i have was is no instrument lights,
originally it was no parking lights as well but i checked the A/Market stereo wiring they came back alive, (i was checking the fuses and hit the BCM as suggested by the autosparkie), but have lost the cigarette lighter. Fair trade as i don’t smoke,
They all work, just can’t see anything at night except the backlit lcd trip/mileage displays
Suspect,
*Cruise control stalk (??? probably not)
*Dimmer switch (on order)
Have replaced/ rewired, and tested
*All the bulbs,
*The complete instrument panel
*The earth and live wire for the Sony head unit (aftermarket)
*All fuses.
*And trailer wiring
Have studied the wiring diag for the VR VP VS and statesman and all leads to the BCM.
Priced one at $240 + gst with keys
Q. Will replacing the BCM repair the lighting problems?[/FONT]
