I installed the new pump to sender ok, but I had a bugger of a time getting it back in. In the end, I resorted to searching to see what I was messing up. No further photos of the fuel dramas, if you are interested then check out THIS EXCELLENT THREAD about fuel pumps...

Its all running now, just about to move it out of the carport. The fuel pump was definitely the problem.

Into the sun for some slightly better photos. So far, the roof, bonnet and boot have been painted. The bonnet isn't bolted in, its just sitting there.

It still hasnt been buffed, I will wait until the whole car is finished and buff it all at once.

I'm still limited by the iPhone, it hates anything but perfect light.

Great work mate ! An inspiration !

I'm setting myself up for painting my car in the coming months.

It will make it easier having this information here.

I'll have to grab some extra information off you at some stage. Regarding metallic paint, base coats etc.

Again, great work !

Thanks :) Another reason to steal my daughters camera lol... this colour, 'Masai Red' is actually a fine metallic but you cant see it in crappy iPhone pix..

I'm liking this post. Thanks Dax.
I've painted a couple of cars in the back yard and always tried to do the final colour coats in one hit over the entire car.
Not always with success I'll add.
Thinking back I can see your method of doing it in sections would be a lot less stressful.
Do you notice any variations in the colour doing it this way?
