Vz wagon
Hi guys got my vz wags all serviced up before a family holiday to qld turned the ac on and getting no cold air I checked the relays and fuse they're all good, I removed the cap from the unit and pressed the valve down it only emitted air no white liquid , the compressor doesn't seem to be kicking in either as I'm not getting a noticeable increase in revs thus the reason I checked the relays to see if power was getting to the unit? Any advice would be much appreciated guys as I'm away on holidays on the road if it's just a regas fine but if it's cooked and needs replacing I'd rather use one of my local guys back home

VZ dont have a fan clutch. (clutch fan)
Its a thermo fan.

If the AC clutch is bugger, then AC is buggered

But if the AC Gas is low, will not engage.

A good reputable air con specialist will diagnose after putting gas in the air con.
If doesnt engage then they will trouble shoot.

There is no easy forum answer.
Best thing, see a specialist.

Sounds like its out of gas to me, could be a hole in the condenser, a bad o'ring, damaged hose or bad seal in the compressor.
You really need to take it to a specialist who can pressurize the system and look for any leaks before it gets re gassed.
