same, i know when the ls1 was intorduced any v8 had an lsd, for some reason holden omitted it from the ve range

Yer LSD doesn't come standard in the Calais but it is an option as is a sunroof and lucky enough my car has both which is great,
What price range roughly am I looking at for diff gears?

VE 3.45 CROWN WHEEL & PINION GEAR SETS

Not 3.7 but you get the idea. In my opinion it's much easier to buy the whole diff. You've got to get someone to change your centre out to start with plus if you buy the lot you have a spare diff sitting in your shed. In the end you won't save that much by going with just the gears, just a thought.
P.s, installing the diff yourself is quite easy. Run a search for ve diff and you should come across some pics i put up of my sedan and brothers sportwagon, both done in an afternoon.
