G'day guys,

Just need a bit of general advice. The missus crashed her suzuki ignis ignisfukup.JPGtoday while parking and tore the front right fender right off. She's got comprehensive insurance on the car. WHat I needed advice in regards to was whether it'd be cheaper for me to take it to a good panel beater or let the insurance company handle it if the costs are gonna be over the excess which is around 600 I think or whether I should order a spare fender which I could only find in the green color so far and get it resprayed. If you guys have any alternate suggestions which could get this fix-up done with the least hit on my back pocket, I'd really appreciate it. And if youse could also recommend any good people for the job in the gong area, that'd be excellent. Thanks.

Question: how does one pull off a guard like that?
Go around and get quotes. See what they quote for it.

Peeled it like a banana.
Is the guard bolted on or spot welded?

pay the excess... that headlight is toast, so is the bar. by the time you've dick'd around trying to fix it yourself you'll have spent the 600...

LOL at the comments! I'd go with Wombles and get some quotes then decide.
