I like Geelong. That was down the road.

He was number 5 I think. Maybe it was number 9? There was a kid, Nick Diker, he had Geelong everything and would wear his number jumper every chance he had.

This is downright embarrassing for Sydney, this was my worry all along. They played their GF last week

Yeap they spent it all in their 2 finals matches to get to the GF.
They were never in that match and I knew 3/4 into the 1st quarter they would loose and at quarter time figured it would be a one sided thrashing.

Geelong were on a different wavelength today and came to play, Sydney just couldn’t get their own game running, the pressure was suffocating.
At least Dangerfield didn’t win the Norm Smith he was gagging for a goal.
Might be the end of Selwood, good time to go out on a high.

Turner was number 9, Gary Ablett Snr was number 5

Well it was number 9 on his jumper.
It goes back before Ablett even played for Geelong.

It was when VFL players still had to have a day job. He was a Primary School teacher.

Just checked him out, did not recognise him, may have been a couple of years before my time
