For anyone that cares and wants to do this themselves...
Use a hybrid approach.. do the GTOMOD line in wiring GTO Hard Wire Tutorial
Then wire a switch to ground the radio mute wire... (yellow with black stripe)
No need for blank track disk then... Just switch to CD (any CD) and switch the switch to trigger voice in.. Your jack plug will still play lovely stereo sound and the CD is parked until you switch back off..
