Boot into recovery and do a full wipe (incl dalvik and cache), then try reinstalling the ROM. You made an image after you rooted and installed CM right?

When you downloaded the Pacman rom, did u notice a file inside the folder called Boot.img

Yeah, you need to boot it via the PC first time you go to turn it on.

Huh? Pacman ROM is like any other, using CWM it's flash and forget, I'm playing with it right now. Boot.img is only used by the Android device to load header, kernel, ramdisk, and second stage, every ROM has it. Sorry, but your post makes no sense.

When a flash fails, the first thing you do is wipe and flash again.

nah no image, seems cwm hangs when trying to do a format

Are you familiar with ADB at all?

how long should a wipe/format take via cwm. Seems to take ages if not locks up

I used CWM to flash my HTC sensation, still needed to boot via "Boot.img"

Sorry for trying to help

Not long, hard to put an exact time on it, but under a minute for format and a few seconds for dalvik, flexrom and cache. I'd say the issue is with your root/CWM install. You could try an ADB to debug but personally if you're a bit of a ROM nOOb, try to unroot, restore the phone and start again. Also, join XDA forums. That's where most of us romaholics live and where the devs are to assist.

Nah, my bad mate, didn't mean to sound like an arse but successfully did nonetheless. You may have executed some sort of ADB fix for a buggy/faulty ROM.

+1 for XDA. Not much you can't find out on there. It's massive forum.

Shouldn't take long at all for full wipe/dalvik, cache etc, easy under a minute.

If you can't use CWM to restore your back-up, download the stock rom, boot into download mode, flash the stock rom using Odin, and start over.
