another cam question

hello people im new to v8s and was wondering if you can help me out

I have a clapped out 5ltr with low compression and heaps of blow by...

can you help me choose a cam?
I want some that makes it have a lumpy and rough idle and makes it sound fully sic when im at the lights ready to race.
I want it to give me about 500hp and rev to 8000.
Ive got the really good 3.08 gears and a high stall converter which I think is about 2500...used to have a manual but the motor was too strong and killed it lol
If I fit a 70mm TB and a K&N will I get an extra 10hp too?

Im so excited and cant wait for you all to give me some good cams to choose from

For that sort of powah you really need to dump the 8 and get a buick 6. Just a NA one will do, give it a bit of wood, bung it in a VP, and slap on some P plates for the fastest car on the road. Guaranteed! :thumbsup:

But injected 179 with a 202 crank, JZ head & a 4/71 blower putting out 643 hp. Why you no want a 6 ?

Bro my mate just got a stage 3 cam and stage 3 chip off ebay and it liek beats every car on the road. He even beat a Ferrari if you don't believe me ask my uncle he saw it too.

Bigger is definitely better when it comes to cams, so just shove the biggest cam in that you can possibly get hold of, then report back when you go slower than a stock 5 litre.

You'll only get the full 10hp gain out of the K&N filter if you put the K&N sticker on the air box aswell, otherwise you only get 5hp.
