you can fit a hidden system if you want to, even though port injection will punch a crap load more neddies into the equation. 200 HP is a serious system! traction is an option unless you have some seriously good tyres or slicks. Your current fuel rail might support a lower HP system, not sure how many pounds of pressure they currently produce. It's been about 30 years since i last built a N20 system. Don't be fooled by the movies though, you can't gas nitrous and leave it on for more than a few seconds.... it will rev your engine to destruction.

So let me get this straight.... because I'm a little confused.

Is the biggest worry getting caught by the cops?
Because my biggest worry would be voiding the insurance when you lose it. Aint no way any insurance cover will remain valid when they see a plumbed in NOS system in the wreakage.
May as well stop paying rego as well in that case.

Vin-Diesel didnt have to worry about insurance hassles, because Hollywood is make believe .

The fun part is finding some1 to do the install

easy to find an installer, even easy to do it yourself, but is it illegal, yes, very much so, in all states

Its laughable how so many younster's relate nitrous with vin diesel HAHHAHHA What the hell has that tosser got to do with nitrous ... he is an actor isnt he?????? Victor Bray is a man you should associate with nitrous, his wiper snipper would have a blown alcohol V8 and do 6 second passes!

A friend of mine used to plumb up and install nitrous on many Harley's, BTW Vin Diesel kids, you also dont need a big red "batphone" style button either like you see in the movies lol.

You can plumb systems up pretty sneaky but you can still get caught. He used to plumb the nitrous between the top of the engine block on V8's and the inlet manifold so you couldn't see it without ripping the engine apart. You also just uses a switch which arms the system (hidden of course, in a glovebox, under the seat, if police see it he would say its a kill switch), at a preset throttle position the system readies itself for a discharge, and at over %95 throttle position it releases the nitrous (or something like that). I only ever played with nitrous on Harley's (and have seen many blow up due to too big a jet selected)

Would be interesting to know how much power the bottom end and internals on a stock L98 can handle, I'd select a system that wouldn't push the power level of my car above that (also considering fuel, intake and other factors that will determine sizing of the system) its so easy to keep selecting bigger and bigger until something goes pop.

Is there anyone in Brisbane the specialises in nitrous systems ??? The rubber I have on the car atm wouldn't handle it, but it would be good to whack some slicks on and take it to the drag strip to see what it can do on and off the bottle, be a good laugh on the street also being able to light up the 245's at high speeds. :)

Considering people drive over 600RWkW supercharged vehicles with street tyres, I'm not really too bothered, just have a spoon full of cement .... hold it flat!

I too would be concerned with running street tyers on the street... whatever they are :hmmm:

So one minute you're clueless:

Thanks Sabbath,

How much would a 200hp dryshot system set me back, how hard is it to conceal the plumbing around and on the engine? (the bottle can be hidden behind the ute tub liner easily).

And the next you're some expert who's got a "friend" who's an expert.
