Just in relation to our conversation on the previous page, someone has suggested
to me that I may have a faulty or clogged up IAC Valve...I removed the valve
on the weekend and gave it a clean, but obviously cant get in to the small areas
of the throttle body lines. Whats the best way to clean these out?

Could this possibly be the reason for the excessive noise im hearing through the
cabin, or are there additional grommits etc that sit behindthe dash and not accessible
that could have come loose?
There are a few grommets in the firewall but they are mostly easy to see, another thing may be the bottom of the Tbar housing, these can break in a crash or BIG bump & let noise in.

Now you mention that, I did an advanced driving course at Sandown a few months
back, and being a wet day doing controlled drifting around corners, I came off
at one stage and went up and over a bank on a corner.

I think this is sort of when it started to happen, and also a slight hissing noise
that happens from time to time now when the air con is on.

Where is the Tbar housing located?

under the T bar the plastic housing that goes through the floorpan.
on the bottom of it theres a square cover held on with 4 screws, you will have to get it on a hoist to see it.
Hope this helps

Thanks mate, ill get it looked at.

If it is broken tho, would it only let a suction noise come through, or would you
be hearing the engine aswel?

VS S1 Stato climate control LCD

Hi Doc,

Do you know if there are globes behind the climate control lcd in the VS Stato. I ask this as the top left hand corner of the little lcd screen is duller when the looking at it at night. As it's lit up green all the time are there small globes and if there are how hard is it to replace them?

Cheers

Mike
