Hi all, I have a VF1 SSV and I do a bit of night driving. Does anyone know if the CalaisV or Caprice have an auto dimming mirror? And if it could be easily fitted to my car? Or any other alternatives for that matter. Cheers Geoff

I've been planning this since I discovered the car didn't have it standard (WTF Holden?)

Been looking at US ebay for dimming mirrors (plenty there) but wasn't sure of the mirror attachment.

Thanks to dgp's advice on removing lane departure camera trim cover I've been able to remove my mirror and can now order a dimming replacement.

Gotta love forums!!

A closer look at my mirror tells me it's a "Magna Donnelly" brand.

Originally, I had planned to contact Gentex in the US and just buy one. As it happens they don't sell to the public (and I don't know if the attachment is the same across brands) which is where US ebay became an option.

I guess I could contact Magna Donnelly but if the Oz cost from Holden is $200ish then for the sake of a $100ish saving from US ebay I might just man up and buy it locally.

Oh, the pressure is on...

I'll get a mirror price off Holden on Monday.
