The 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL "Gullwing" (W 198 series). Had a 3 litre straight 6 with a "Bosch mechanical direct fuel injection" that delivered approximately 158kw@ 5800rpm and 275nm@ 4600rpm('57-62 300SL had 180kw@6100rpm). 0-100 in approximately 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 260km/h, at that time it was the worlds fastest production car.
