anyone here had particular experience in a barra swap for their commodores? im fairly sure it would involve a lot, but to what extend do you need to go to get a barra into one of these cars?

why would you is the question? Spend all that money on the never was then decide you need cash and have to sell or just decide I want something else you won't get anything like what you spent back. Spend the same on either a turbo barra falcon or a v8 commodore you'll get it all back and more these days.

Been done more than a few times now, there is even a engine mount kit specifically for this conversion.

I'm not going to lie, a straight six/turbo does look at home in there!

It's a shame Holden never did considering 2 legacy motors from the Holden/GM in other models were factory turbo charged (the VL and the GN V6 turbo regal motors).

I wonder if there was ever a moment when the English / German / GM Opel, Straight 6 was ever an option over here. Thinking toward the Turbo Lotus Carlton, Opel Straight 6, that did 180mp/h in 1990.

How different our cars might have been.

The VN was designed to have a nice RB sitting in there.

People have posted videos of them hitting 300 km/h on the autobahn. Although they seem to be shaking a lot at that speed, a little scary.
