Yeah... felling fairly lucky... I'd like to say it was skill that kept me out of the gutters and shrubs... but on the most part I was just a passenger... and all the while I was just deciding with peice of suspension and which rims I would have to be trying to replace/fix that afternoon. lol

So... I was very pleased when nothing happened...

Here is a vid of the SUBC treatment

YouTube - BMW E30 318i Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner Treatment

It's a few seconds of nothing, then a few seconds of starting the car and it smoking lots followed by me fiddling with the engine for a while... like a long while.

Couldn't be bothered cutting it down.

Ok, verdict... I'm stoked!

Car is running alot smoother, much smoother down low and pulles harder, longer through the range.

If you have an older engine, I really do recommend this!

It's a top engine cleaner.

Breaks down all the carbon and gunk that has build up on valves, cylinders, pistons, etc.

If you google Seafoam, it's basically that but Seafoam can also go through the fuel system.

But yeah, the stuff I used, Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner. It's about 19bucks a a can and you can get it from any Subaru dealer that has a service department.

They always stock it because they use it during servicing.

As I said, I am stoked with the result... engine feels smoother and alot stronger...

Though it's running a touch rich at the moment, but that's not suprise since all the crap in the engine has been cleaned out and the engine isn't labouring as much.

Just have to work out how to adjust the mixture... :p

Love the Bimmer! I have an '83 533i that needs some refreshing, which isn't a common model :)

Thanks guys,

Yeah its a pretty fun car to drive so long as you keep it above 3000rpm and don't expect much more than alot of noise flooring it from the lights.

Cornering is lots of fun. Plus with summer on our doorstep the sunroof is awesome.

I've decided that I'm always going to try and own a car with a sunroof from now on.

Brilliant!

Yeah... there are alot of guys putting M v8's in them but also there are a few going round with LS1 engines.

It's a suprisingly big enginebay...

Anyway, some pictures from after the Marysville Cruise.

My Mate is a detailer and did a bloody awesome job. If anyone want's his contact details PM me. He's in Mornington.
