Lol bet this one gets some attention so before you read this keep in mind...

    The car in question

WILL NEVER BE ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!!

Ok, so I have a good mate with a 97 VT exec paddock basher. we set the airbags off by accident (through a ditch) and the light came on and starts beeping... Decided to remove the Airbag, seat belts and srs computer...

Pulled the computer apart to see what was inside(as 1 would) and wrecked it

The car dosn't like us now:whistling

All I want to know is what sort of signal does the BCM get from the SRS and is there a way to emulate the srs? we don't want to spend the money on a new computer and airbag but want to get rid of the error...

    Now remember that

THIS CAR WILL NOT BE ON PUBLIC ROADS AGAIN

    Thanx in advance

You can't get rid of the error without a Tech 2 or similar scan tool.

but even if the error is removed, is there a way to disable it?

so the car wont run (or run properly) because the airbag system has been deployed and hasnt been 'reset' - is that correct?

    SRS Airbag Bypass fix

I know it's a late reply, but you can unplug the airbags and put a resistor and capacitor in series on the plug, then clear the fault on the computer with software or scan tool etc... This will trick the SRS Module into thinking the Airbag is still plugged in, "DO NOT DO THIS ON A REGISTERED CAR IT"S ILLEGAL"

Nice dig, but you apologized lol.

Did you read the bit that the SRS module is buggered? I dare say the car is in heaven now anyway.
