Didn't GM announced a while ago that they boughty out some driverless car start up and are looking at owning fleets of driverless electric taxis?

Seems the buz across the manufacturers is subscription services to keep the monies rolling in on a monthly basis

I'd have to ask myself does Holden have anything worth renting? Obviously it will only be new stock, so my guess is nope, nothing....

It can only be a matter of time when Holden closes the doors completely. They sure don't have anything i would consider buying.

There's already like 7 rental car companies at the local airport... surely directly competing with your biggest customers would be to the detriment of all? Who green lights all these dumb ideas?

they could undercut rental companies and own the market if they wanted to.

car makers are doing this already for uber and the like in the US.

Rental car companies have a different offering e.g. rent for one day, one week etc whereas the Holden offering requires you to "first take the vehicle for a minimum 28 days before switching to week-by-week rental periods".

They are pitching at a different market.
