Just got my car back from cam and it smells very fumey in cabin. Is this normal or does the tune need to be adjusted?

tune can help if setup right, but if u have high flow cats u wont get rid of all the smell as most is burnt before it leaves exhaust but it should be able to be better then it is

Mine definitely doesnt smell in the cabin unless the wind is strong and I'm idling in traffic, then you can get a hint of it.

Cheers. Definitely more noticeable idling in traffic.

What cats do you have?

Mine has some smell but only if I have the AC on fresh and not recirc. Open the hard lid and you get a good whiff. I don't have factory cats. I just make sure I hit the recirc switch in the morning when I get to the first set of lights.

Nearly all of the Commodores with cam, hi flow cats etc. I have been in have a smell in the cabin. Mine does.
More noticeable when stationary which is to be expected I guess.

100 cell cats do squat, they just "look" like you have cats, 200 cell will reduce the emission smell in a stock car, when you have a cam 400 cell do the job nicely, and pass an emissions test with the right tune

The trick is to use the largest body cats you can fit in the space you have

The "power loss" from 400 cell cats is negligible in a street car, especially if you use Euro 5 400 cell high flow cats with a 5" body, if you search around you can get then to suit 2.5" to 3"
